PRINCESS HOTELS NEGRIL

Princess Hotels – Negril: Building for Scale and Service

The Princess Negril development in Green Island, Hanover, represents one of the most ambitious hospitality projects in Jamaica, encompassing multiple contracts across the expansive hotel facility. Marcore Construction Group was engaged through O2H Contracting Limited to manage critical components of the project, including the construction of a treatment plant and a five-story, 39,000 sq. ft. staff building designed to house hotel employees and service staff.

With a footprint of 9,730 sq. ft. per floor, the staff building required meticulous coordination of trades and resources. Marcore was responsible for large-scale worker mobilization, directing a workforce that spanned numerous trades and specialties. Success hinged on seamless collaboration with developer-side project managers, engineers, and site supervisors from El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic—a true multinational effort.

Our duties were heavily focused on project management at scale, with site supervisors, project engineers, foremen, and clerks reporting directly into our leadership structure. This role demanded a disciplined balance of oversight, technical decision-making, and day-to-day execution to keep multiple moving parts aligned.

For Marcore, Princess Negril was more than just a construction assignment—it marked a transition into higher-level management, serving as preparation for future roles at the project director level. It stands as a testament to our ability to deliver complex, large-scale hospitality projects while coordinating diverse teams and international stakeholders.
